Fans of Adam Brody have taken to social media to reveal what they really think of the US actor.

More than two decades since his breakthrough role as Seth Cohen on The OC, the 44-year-old star is finding a new legion of fans thanks to his turn as the ‘hot Rabbi’ on popular Netflix series Nobody Wants This.

Pop culture Instagram account Deuxmoi shared some surprising fan stories about the star on Monday when answering a fan question about the actor’s ‘niceness’ level.

‘I have never heard one bad thing about him,’ the anonymous account revealed over a montage showing snaps of the actor and his wife Leighton Meester, 38.

The account then recounted a story from a fan who had a chance meeting with Adam at an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles.

‘I forgot this actors name, but this was in Lavo, and he was soooo nice,’ the story begins.

‘We said “hi” and he came and spoke to us. He was engaged at the time and kept complimenting his fiancée. I think he was engaged to the girl from Gossip Girl. I’m very bad with names.’

The anonymous voice behind the account then added:  ‘So the person sends the picture and it’s f***ing Adam Brody. Complimenting his fiancée Leighton Meester, gotta love it.’

Another fan detailed an encounter with the star while shopping that left them ‘starstruck.’

‘I saw Adam Brody and Leighton Meester together in Whole Foods a few years ago,’ the story began.

‘We were in the same aisle, just the three of us and Adam and I locked eyes. I was so star struck.

‘I grinned and waved at him like an idiot in silence, and he waved back then i ran out of the store and got home with not a single item I needed.’

A third gave further insight into Adam’s character, revealing they used to travel in similar social circles as the star.

‘I used to hang out in that crowd,’ they said.

‘I can attest he is in fact an actual angel. He is one of the nicest actors I have ever been around. Just genuine and kind. Lovely guy.’

It was a similar sentiment over in the comments section, with many taking the opportunity to gush over not just Adam, but Leighton’s ‘niceness’ too.

One suggested that the pair have usurped Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s position as the nicest couple in Hollywood.

‘They just stole Blake and Ryan’s crowns for being legends whilst also being kind, humble and avoiding the “celebrity” life,’ the fan wrote.

‘He was filming one of the scenes at my work and I FREAKED OUT when I saw him and asked for a hug (I’m a big the oc fan) and he was the sweetest guy ever,’ another fan recalled.

‘When the actors were having a break he came back to talk to me and made my day. He’s absolutely a great person.’

A third also recalled meeting the affable actor, adding that their ‘weirdness’ caused the encounter to be awkward.

‘I met him once, I was so nervous. I just said “hi Adam” and waved awkwardly and he looked me in the eye and said “hi, nice to meet you, how are you,” and I don’t even remember what I said and then kind of walked away.

‘I feel like he would’ve engaged more if I wasn’t so weird. He was very polite.’

In Nobody Wants This, Adam plays newly-single, Noah, a witty basketball-playing rabbi who finds himself tangled in a relationship with Joanne — Kirsten Bell — an agnostic sex and relationships podcaster.

The pair must contend with their religious differences, as well as their respective chaotic family dynamics.

In the series, Noah is also referred to as ‘hot rabbi,’ an apparent nod to Fleabag’s ‘hot priest’ character.

And it’s proven even more popular than the hit BBC show, boasting more than 10 million views in the first four days alone of streaming.
