White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has unleashed on the Washington Post.
Her remarks came during a press briefing, where the White House press secretary slammed a “ridiculous headline” from the newspaper.
The article, titled ‘the mysterious drop in fentanyl seizures on the U.S.-Mexico border’ was slammed for not crediting US President Donald Trump.
Since coming into power in January 2025, President Trump has implemented executive orders to curb the shipment of the dangerous opioid into America.
During her takedown of The Washington Post, Leavitt hit out at the headline questioning how the drop in fentanyl was “mysterious”.
“There is no mystery about why there is a decrease in fentanyl coming into the United States, this administration’s strong border policies are the reason there has been a decrease in fentanyl trafficking.”
Leavitt claimed the Washington Post were “clearly trying to intentionally manipulate the minds of the Americans”.
