El madrileño se despide de Ferrari a lo grande, con un podio y sin poder haber logrado un mejor resultado

Carlos Sainz dice adiós a Ferrari y lo hace por la puerta grande. Aunque no ha podido ganar la carrera en Abu Dhabi, porque McLaren tenía más ritmo, ha logrado una gran segunda posición, y suma otro podio más en ese espectacular camino vestido de rojo.

“Es un sentimiento agridulce, segundo era lo máximo que podía conseguir pero Lando y los McLaren eran muy rápidos. En la primera tanda parecía que lo podíamos aguantar, pero en la segunda no. Felicitaciones a McLaren, y por nuestra parte podemos estar orgullosos por el esfuerzo”, decía al bajarse del coche en la entrevista de los tres del podio.
“Ha sido muy emotivo, he hablado con mi ingeniero en la radio, y estoy muy agradecido por haber estado en este equipo cuatro años. He demostrado que puedo luchar por poles y victorias”, explicaba, pues ha gritado un “Forza Ferrari sempre” por radio y ha cantado un último “Smooth Operator” subido al coche rojo.
Su aventura en Ferrari se acaba, pero su camino en la F1 sigue, porque él mismo sabe que ha demostrado que es uno de los mejores pilotos de la parrilla, y que con una buena máquina, puede aspirar a todo: “He tenido la oportunidad de ganar mis primeras carreras, de hacer mis primeras pole positions. Me he demostrado a mí mismo y a todo el mundo que puedo luchar por todo, por victorias y podios si tengo el coche adecuado”, reconocía.
