Flowers have been seen outside Ozzy Osbourne’s home as the Black Sabbath icon was laid to rest in the grounds of his beloved Buckinghamshire property in a small service
Ozzy Osbourne was laid to rest today in an intimate funeral surrounded by his family and closest celebrity friends. The Black Sabbath legend died aged 76 last week, with tributes pouring in for the music icon.
On Wednesday, fans were able to say their last goodbye to the heavy metal star as a procession headed through Birmingham city centre. His beloved wife Sharon got out of the car to lay a flower onto the sea of tributes at Black Sabbath Bridge on Broad Street.
She was joined by their children Jack, Aimee and Kelly in the heartbreaking moment. It comes after Sharon Osbourne breaks down in tears at Ozzy’s funeral in heartbreaking scenes.
Today, the family united again as they opted for a very lowkey service for Ozzy. To stick to his final wish, Ozzy was buried in the garden of their Buckinghamshire home.
Singer Yungblud is believed to have given a reading, having become close with the family in recent years. Ozzy’s Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler, were present along with Metallica’s James Hetfield.
Sir Elton John was also expected to join the family at the home Ozzy was so desperate to return to after living in the US for years. It has been reported the reason the Osbournes opted for the small funeral was because Sharon wasn’t strong enough to hold a big service.

Sharon ‘wasn’t strong enough’ for a big funeral
Sharon’s friends shared their concern for the star following Ozzy’s death, as she grieves her soul mate. They say the family wanted to keep things small in an effort to help Sharon with her grief as they chose to bury Ozzy in the home where he died.
“In the end, he died peacefully at home with all the family with him. It’s a lovely house and Sharon wanted to bring him back from LA.
“I don’t know if she will feel strong enough to have a big memorial for all the people who want to say goodbye to him. We think she may want to bury him privately at home, in the garden,” they told Mail Online.

Ozzy ‘couldn’t live’ without Sharon
Last year, Ozzy heartbreakingly said he couldn’t live without his wife Sharon. In now even more poignant words, he said: “Sharon is like my soulmate — sometimes I love her, sometimes I don’t love her, sometimes I’m angry with her, sometimes I’m crazy about her, sometimes I’m very jealous of her, sometimes I wanna f***ng kill her.
“But through it all, at the end of the day, I love her more than anything in the world. Put it this way: I couldn’t live without her. I don’t wanna live without her.”
