90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Angela Deem is sharing an emotional update after concerned fans wanted to know how she was doing after Hurricane Helene. Angela is from Georgia where she lives with her two daughters, Skyla and Scottie Deem, who have three kids each. Angela connected with Michael Ilesanmi on Facebook in 2017 and documented their long-distance relationship on several spin-offs ever since. Angela and Michael’s volatile relationship often came close to ending, but it was Michael who finally ended it after he came to the U.S. and fled from Angela’s Hazlehurst house in February 2024.

Amid Angela wanting her marriage to be annulled and watching Michael living his best life in America, the 90 Day Fiancé cast member had to deal with Helene, which is one of the deadliest hurricanes to hit the mainland U.S. since the 1950s.

Hurricane Helene unleashed devastation across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. Angela’s hometown, Hazlehurst, was also affected, with fans wondering if Angela was doing okay despite her being one of the most hated cast members in the franchise right now. However, Angela did provide her TikTok followers with an update.

“I don’t care how I look. No filters, no nothing, this is me.”

Angela posted a rare video of herself without any makeup for filters. Angela looked devastated when she told her “queens and kings” that there was no service for her to go live on social media. She spoke for herself and her family as she added that they were “making it” even though “it’s hard.” Angela was grateful for being “alive” and thanked the helpers who had come across states to help her community. Angela was praying for everybody to be safe.

Angela hardly posts any videos without her filters. She wants to look glamorous on social media at all times as she wishes to make Michael feel bad for leaving her. However, Angela decided to ditch her filters because she wanted to reach out to her well-wishers who were genuinely waiting to hear that she was safe. Angela is just so happy that she is unharmed that she doesn’t care about how she looks in her videos. It could also mean that Angela will have a change of heart and forgive Michael for what he did.

Angela had realized how precious life is and that she wasn’t letting Michael live his life on his terms. She controlled Michael like a toy and mistreated him when he didn’t do what was expected of him. Angela decided that she was going to get Michael thrown out of the country for betraying her and that he didn’t deserve to live a life in America on a visa that she’d got for him.
