Kate Cassidy, 25, was seen packing up the remaining belongings she shared with Liam Payne as she moved out of his London home, two weeks after the singer’s funeral

Liam Payne’s heartbroken girlfriend was seen packing up her life into cardboard boxes as she reportedly moved out of his home.

Kate Cassidy, who bid a final farewell to the singer at his funeral two weeks ago, left the apartment in London, England, on Tuesday. Clutching a large, colorful squishmallow that was too big to fit into her luggage, Kate was visibly upset as a friend helped her load stacks of boxes and suitcases into a van.

The remnants of her life with the One Direction star have been packed away, but it’s understood that moving on is proving difficult for the 25-year-old. She is now set to return to America to spend Christmas with her family.

Just months earlier, Kate was planning her future with Liam. However, the musician sadly fell to his death from the balcony of his third-floor hotel suite in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October.

The couple, who had been together for two years, were in Argentina to attend former bandmate Niall Horan’s sell-out concert. The circumstances surrounding Liam’s fall, which allegedly occurred after he “smashed his laptop to the ground” after reading an email, remain unclear as police continue their investigation.

Kate, who had been in a two-year relationship with the singer, traveled to the U.K. for a heartfelt farewell at a funeral service held in St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Following the service, Kate found had been staying alone in their southeast London apartment.

Kate has begun the painful process of moving on, starting by removing their shared possessions from the property. Liam’s death came just as the couple had planned to start anew in a Miami mansion.

Following Liam’s death, Kate took to social media with an emotional tribute, sharing images of happier times. She wrote, “I don’t even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can’t put into words. I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now. You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone – millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me.”

Kate referred to Liam as the “love of my life” and continued, “Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way that we planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me wherever I go. Forever yours, Katelyn, 444.”

Kate explained that “444” signifies the presence of angels, stating on Instagram, “More often, you will see the number 444 when you are feeling down. In simple sense, the number 444 reminds you that your angels are always there to support you. When you see this number you will be reassured that you are protected and loved by the angels.”
