The businessman, who vanished last month after failing to appear for a scheduled television interview, reportedly spent time inside Dubai’s notorious Al-Awir prison and now faces a race against time to avoid being locked up again.
The Real Reason Lee Was Jailed
Reports now suggest that Lee’s imprisonment stemmed from unpaid debts.
One case allegedly involves 266,060 dirhams (around £54,000) owed to rent-a-car company Rotana Star dating back to 2022. Another concerns approximately 74,817 dirhams (£15,000) allegedly owed to a UAE law firm.
Court representatives stated that Lee appeared before a judge and requested a 14-day extension to gain access to his bank account so he could settle the debts.
Should he fail to raise the money, he could reportedly face arrest once again.
Katie Price Didn’t Pay a Penny
Although Katie stood by her husband throughout the ordeal, sources claim she has not contributed financially to clearing his debts.
Instead, Lee reportedly insisted he would solve the problems himself and not rely on his wife for money.
The pair were reunited in emotional scenes, with Katie throwing her arms around Lee before the couple enjoyed a romantic evening together in Dubai.
Extraordinary Claims Raise Eyebrows
Since resurfacing, Lee has made astonishing claims about his disappearance.
He alleged that he had been taken at gunpoint by armed men and held in what he described as a “black site,” claiming he was handcuffed, hooded, and interrogated.
However, reports surrounding his legal issues have focused instead on debt disputes, and many of his statements have been met with skepticism.
Questions have also followed him since his relationship with Katie became public, including allegations involving his business credentials, accusations from former partners, and earlier reports that he had been unable to leave Dubai because of legal troubles.

For now, Lee Andrews is back in Katie Price’s arms.
But with roughly £69,000 reportedly still outstanding and only two weeks to resolve the issue, his freedom may prove short-lived.
