A land, air and water search has ended after a missing man was found dead in South Australia’s remote far north.
Tony Aspden, 65, was located this morning after being missing since Easter Saturday.
Police said his body was found around 10.30am local time.
Mr Aspden was last seen on Easter Saturday in Innamincka, in the state’s north-east, while crossing the closed Cordillo Downs Road on foot, when he was swept into flood waters.

Polair, water operations, South Australia Police and local SES members assisted in the search, along with family, residents and volunteers.
Mr Aspden’s family travelled from Queensland to help the search.
Before his body was found, granddaughter Maddy Calaby said the family were asking for help from locals.
“We appreciate the search from the SES and local police, but the search can’t be over until my poppy is brought home,”
Ms Calaby said.
“[A]live or passed he deserves to be home with us.”
Innamincka is located approximately 1,065 kilometres by road from Adelaide and 40km from the Queensland border.

The Cooper Creek system near Innamincka remains in flood.
Police said fast‑moving water had submerged hazards and restricted visibility.
They said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Aspden’s death.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
