Finding love! Louis Tomlinson has experienced a few public romances since his One Direction days.
Just like the rest of his fellow former 1D members, the singer auditioned for The X Factor as a solo artist. But, he joined forces with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik to form what ended up being a successful band and, just like that, his love life was the focus of fans around the world.
Although they’ve experienced some ups and downs throughout their time together, Louis is in a relationship with Eleanor Calder. They started dating in November 2011, during the early 1D days, and she was with him as the group rose to worldwide fame.
“The luxury with Eleanor is I’ve known her since before our first single ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’ so she’s felt the whole growth of everything,” the “Back to You” singer told The Sun in January 2020. “As I’ve got to understand it, she has too, and I have the benefit with her that we’ve seen it for what it is.”
While they were together for a few years, news broke in March 2015 that Louis and Eleanor had called it quits. While they were on a break, the singer was romantically linked to a few notable names, including The Originals actress Danielle Campbell, hairstylist Briana Jungwirth — with whom he shares his son, Freddie — and more.
But, after a few years apart, Louis and Eleanor were able to reconcile. In February 2017, eagle-eyed fans started to notice that the two started following each other on Instagram again.
That same year, Louis teased his debut solo album, noting that some of the songs he had written were about their relationship.
“There’s a couple of songs that me and my girlfriend really like that’ll never be used for anything, so they’re kind of just for us. That’s really nice. A lot of the album’s about her, really,” he explained to BBC News in July 2017.
“I wanted to make the album feel chronological because that’s how I wrote it. You can hear my journey as an individual over these three years — leaving the band, then going out on to the really crazy party scene, and then I’ve kind of ended up full circle back with Eleanor, who I love dearly.”
When it comes to their future, Louis has plans to eventually tie the knot with Eleanor. “If you’re asking me if I’m going to marry her? Yes, I think so,” he told The Sun in January 2020. “And more kids, I’d say so.”

Louis reportedly dated Hannah before his One Direction days.

Romance rumors between Louis and Briana first started swirling in May 2015 when they were spotted out and about together. Then, in July of that year, it was announced that the duo were expecting their first baby together. Things between them may have fizzled out romantically but Louis and Briana welcomed a son named Freddie in January 2016.

Danielle Campbell
Things between Louis and Danielle started heating up in November 2015. During the early days of their relationship, the pair kept things under wraps, but Louis eventually took to Instagram and showed off his love for the actress.
“Lucky,” he captioned a photo shared in April 2016.
The two stayed together for the remainder of the year, but news of their breakup was first reported in December 2016.

Eleanor Calder
Louis and Eleanor were first spotted together in late 2011 and later confirmed their relationship with tons of social media posts together. In November 2012, Eleanor revealed the couple’s anniversary with a tribute to her boyfriend. After a few years together, it was reported in March 2015 that they had called it quits.
Throughout their time apart, Louis briefly dated a few other girls, but he and Eleanor reconciled in early 2017. In January 2023, The Sun reported that they had split.

Sofie Nyvang
After calling it quits with Eleanor, Louis was spotted walking hand in hand with model Sofie Nyvang in Los Angeles on February 17, 2023, via Page Six. However, they have not been spotted together since.
