Meghan kept her look business casual for the digital wellness event

Meghan Markle looked chic in her business casual attire supporting young girls and promoting digital wellness at an event in Santa Barbara, California on October 2.

Dressed neatly for the occasion, Meghan wore a J.Crew chambray shirt with rolled-up sleeves and a white collar.

She tucked the shirt into a pair of white, wide-legged trousers and the Duchess of Sussex completed her outfit with a tan-coloured Ralph Lauren buckle belt, and tan pointed shoes by designer Manolo Blahnik.

Meghan wore her go-to gold accessories to finish the outfit – her Cartier Love Bracelet and Française Tank Watch by the same designer.

The Duchess of Sussex had stepped out for a solo event to visit Girls Inc based in Santa Barbara to engage with young girls about growing up in the digital age. She was also there to support the partnership with a tech advocacy group to bring their new ‘Social Media U’ program to students across the country, starting with the central California city.

Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara is the “preeminent girls’ leadership organisation equipping girls to reach their full potential”, according to the company’s website.

According to those present, Meghan used her speech to speak with children about her personal experiences with online bullying.

Larissa May, founder of #HalfTheStory, who was in attendance, told Vanity Fair: “We did an activity where we talked through a bunch of scenarios, and Meghan talked about being one of the most bullied people in the world.

“We had girls wave these little emoji signs and talk about how each one of these scenarios would have impacted them emotionally.”

Despite Meghan attending the event without her husband, the couple’s business relationships are said to still be running side by side and there is nothing to suggest that the pair won’t be conducting joint engagements in the future.

Prince Harry meanwhile, has conducted solo engagements focusing on his charity endeavours in New York, the UK, and South Africa.
